Puglia is the Italian name of the city of Italy. Apulia is an undiscovered gem of the southern part of Italy. Puglia, Venice, Genoa, and Florance are all beautiful cities in Italy as a whole is an unnoticed part of Europe. Do you think Italy needs more attention? An absolute yes. They provide a wide variety of beautiful scenery, white-domed castles, budget-friendly accommodations, flavorful cuisines and much more. While surfing on the web browser, I found Puglia to be a great to spend hot summers. Immediately, book the plane tickets and pack the backpacks rushed to have exposure to the jaw-dropping sites Puglia provides. After landing at the airport, it was the best decision to trip to Italy. It is a place that can give all the excitement one needs from a leisure trip. A refreshing, calming atmosphere with a cold breeze sets an active mood after 4 hours of continuous travel. I was very excited to discover the monuments, their prayer areas, Puglia’s most popular sites, and Italy’s hidden history. This time, I couldn’t wait to see the lovely artistry. Do you like to spend holidays on beaches? If yes. Then relax. You are at the correct destination. Italy has an extensive range of white sandy beaches—some tips to be noticed before travelling abroad. The Reason Behind To Rent A Car Suddenly, you will need comfortable access to reach your destinations. I have some successful tips which I followed in my travel to Puglia. The foremost instruction is firstly to rent a car according to your pocket. This will help you to a great extent, like going to several destinations in one day and feeling bored catching public buses all the time. If yes. Rental cars help to form your rhythm at each moment. You can easily access city centers, shopping malls, churches, and monuments without waiting for the bus or the cab. Just take out the car and enjoy the tour around the coastlines, cities, and streets while enjoying ice creams and street cuisine. Sounds delightful. I was not all alone, but a great friend of mine also joined me to capture memories. First, we cover all the unique spots, road by road, bridge by bridge. Then stop at the roadside stalls to enjoy the savory and delicious cabbage rolls. Do you know cabbage rolls are a speciality in Europe? If not, then do note it. Next time, take the chance. Puglia is entirely known to need proper transportation. I don’t think so. But all have their experiences. We caught on a railway to reach other cities like Andria, Bari, and Lecce. High and economy classes can be booked through their websites, and an onsite option is also available. Enjoying olive, wine, and dry fruits directly from the fresh fields of Andria gives a unique taste to experience. Afterwards, with only 20 mins to drive to the Castle de Monte, I discovered Andria’s most prominent destination. Frequent by frequent access can be possible if you rent a car. Traveling by local transport might take a lot of work to cover. By the way, I booked from Hertz, the rental service. How To Decide Where to Accommodate When planning the trip, accommodation is the crucial step to decide. For me, it was also a hard decision. I was not on a single page, but an Italian friend suggested I avoid messing around. Italian people are hospitable and serve their guests, whoever visits them. Many accommodation options are available at quite a cheap price at different locations. We all know that finding a room in the city center with refreshing balcony views might be costly. I decided to spend a few pennies on accommodation and give high priority to other activities. My friend also adviced me to go for the safer option—book rooms in advance. Airbnb and Book My Hotels have great deals, which should be considered. Luckily, I found a cheap resort within the city center at around $20-$30 for a one-night stand. Leche, Andria and other cities have much more inexpensive options to stay. Booking rooms before reaching the destination is hassle-free and sets your journey by enjoying every part of the trip. I hook up with other tourists and take their opinions about the settlement. Booking in a center to the two main destinations and having a car might be more budget-friendly. In Europe, most places are 50-60 minutes away from each other. Settlement In A Trullo Because of the unique changed houses, my friend and I decided to check out the province, Bari. The town, Alberobello, is highly dense with the construction of the trullis- the cone-shaped houses. Because of their unique style and infrastructure, many tourists settle here for at least a one-night stay. A trullo is wholly designed with white sandy rocks from inside and outside. Sets trulli with a different touch. Some build it with a flat surface to hit late-night parties on the top of the roofs. Others like to build cone-shaped pointed vaults. Both types give vibrant vibes to the visitors. Do you know the stones used in construction are all parched? After learning all these facts, Alberobello might be a much more frequent place to visit. My friend and I also hooked on and booked a trulli to envision the style with open eyes. After reaching the first awe moments was the size. It was relatively more minor than our expectations. All were in the exact dimensions, so we managed to settle quickly. Ours contains a miniature washroom with a gray stone ceiling. The kitchen has a gas stove with a mini cylinder attached, a small round table with two seats and a fireplace in the lounge area. Two single beds were given in a small room. A small balcony opens into the city’s heart, and far away can be seen snowy mountains with reindeer struggling for their food—a wide stair towards the roof. Vaults were decorated with flowerpots, giving aesthetic views to the house. All were in vibrant colors. Roofs are meant to have a romantic time enjoying the sunset and sunrise with loved ones. Strolling around the streets down to the main markets, experience a density of attraction towards the history. Cultural values and customs were all around and engraved in the nearby people. The dining experience always differs according to every city within one country. Living for three more peaceful days on trulli-a part far from all busy cities was lively. It is truly a romantic place for a couple to settle down. Also, a bicycle trip can add a spice to your vacation. Highlighted Hotspots In Puglia The most exciting part to share is how many places you visit on your trip. Having a rental car is a blessing for my trip. The car is easily accessible to each destination. Puglia is packed with enthusiastic hotspots. Beaches, windy hills, white cemented towers, peaked houses, and churches all left with an awe expression. To mention the list of a few recognized destinations every tourist should uncover. And it is worth mentioning. Starting a journey with a well-planned itinerary is necessary. Castle del Monte is the jaw-dropping construction of this castle. Its octagonal shape makes it a unique place to discover. It was a mesmerizing experience. The court contains eight massive towers. The washing area, fireplaces and rooms decorated with marble give the tourist a captivating view outside, wholly covered with green leafy bushes and trees with stoned stairs providing the entrance to the castle. Those without a rental car can take Ferrovia Bari-Nord, the train run from Bari to Andria and then a shuttle service from the station to the court. It is the most significant place ever visited by tourists and is known as the castle on the mountain. This place is packed with Italian and Asian food stops. We also stopped to enjoy the taste of the cuisine. Then we make our way to the old towns of Lecce. It is in the heart of the city center. Baroque architecture is the speciality of the Leece. It attracts the tourists to see the historic pictured walls and to listen to the narrators. They illustrated the thrilling history of the town and highlighted the combat stories. The narrators told us that many tourists skip Lecce, and it’s enlightening. I thought of myself as a lucky person to book two days in this ancient city. A guided tour is essential to know about the history of masked destinations. Museo Faggiano is an unearthed place to visit. A boy curious to fix his toilet led him to discover an underground ruined building, passages making their way to an enormous collection of ancient potteries. Our guide told about the story behind it. After its discovery, it has now been transformed into a museum. The walls are all rocky. Crucifixes all over the ruined and cracked fortifications give the ancient vibes. The tools were also found in the ulterior warehouse cemented with limestones. The whole find looks like a city attacked and smashed during World Wars or even from older times. When coming out of these ruins, there are snack bars and cafes for visitors. All types of dishes are there as it is a core busy area hit by the visitors. Let’s come out of the ancient attractions and talk about the beaches. Italy is rich, with more than ten coastline beaches. White and golden brown sand with rough heaps of bushy hills surrounds the water bodies—the crystal blue water to enjoy in the hot summer is an absolute place to visit. My Italian friend suggested to go the Marina di Pescoluse, commonly known as the ‘Maldives of Italy’. A large number of villas and hotels surround water bodies to hook on. We also booked a villa for a day at the beach that stretched miles long. The other is the Torre Guaceto, in Brindisi, south along the Adriatic Sea’s coast. This sea is situated in the hilly mountains of Italy. These were used as a trading route and for migrants. Car parking areas are also formed with a proper guard surrounding the sea. If you don’t have a car, do not worry about it. Shuttle service from the parking to the sea is available at a cheaper price. Want to see some pine forests around? Then go to Baia dei Turchi, located in the Otranto. This beach stretches to the pine forests and mountainous bushes about one and a half kilometers. I don’t think any person does not love to hit beaches in the hot summer season. Cold breeze enchanting vibes everywhere, makes us feel relaxed. I even saw children making a copy of the structure of the Castle del Monte. It is challenging, but the look gives a pictorial view. When we setup a sudden plan to go to Tremiti Islands, my friend searched for the most famous beaches. The list was so long it was tough to cover all. After a considerable discussion, we decided to pick Cala dei Pagliai, a beach surrounded by giant haystacks. After reaching, we were surprised to see multiple watersports all around. On the spot, we decided to have a Knight Ferry round. It was a new experience in my life. It was loaded with several activities like BBQ stands, beer bars, private swimming pools and spa facilities; a person can get a ticket. We made a minor mistake of not booking in advance. You can book through their official website. The fantastic part is you can rent the whole ferry all alone. But it is pretty expensive. After enjoying the beaches not in a row, explore when reaching the particular city. I also want to mention a cave, the Castellana Caves—a years-old underground dungeon discovered around the 1930s. A cave full of rocky rocks, pebbles, various stones like limestone, marble, and pieces of calcium carbonates was found. It has become one of the top destinations in Puglia after exploring each of its areas with the help of a guide. It is known to be the most extensive cave system in Europe. Come towards some of the famous food areas. We made random stops at almost all the roadside stalls to enjoy street food. But the most popular one is Primo Restaurant in Lecce. I spent time with my friend at the restaurant when we visited Lecce City—decorated with ancient stones and beautifully crafted walls with pebbles and white limestones. It gave a mesmerizing and refreshing view to the eyes. All the settings were finely placed with an accurate distancing. The food of Italy is widely famous globally. Pizza the Italian made. We decided on pizza and other slides to fulfill the cravings we encountered when entering the restaurant. These are not the end of the highlights, but many others are also in a row. A second trip to Puglia is necessary for me to have a direct experience with the other cities, ancient attractions, and churches, having Cross signs on the front doors to the end. A Cheaper Option To Reach Puglia Getting inexpensive travel from your country to a vacay destination is the hardest. The standard way tourists spot on is to land in a nearby European country. Afterwards, you can book a speedy railway to get to your destination. Railway tickets can be booked through RailEurope, cheaper than air tickets. The train also gives a different touch to your journey. Passing green grassy fields to touching the crystal blue water bodies, you can see the beauties of nature. Waterborne transport could also standardize your hot summer vacations. All these means can lead you to your favorite destinations.
